Even as a Certified Life Coach life can stop me in my tracks. It’s been a long week. Clients and friends experience life changing moments. One is a mother of two young children learns she has Inflammatory Breast Cancer, an aggressive form of breast cancer. A couple find out their 11 year old daughter has a rare and inoperable brain tumor. A father, his two son’s, and son’s fiancé were on their way to see the youngest son graduate from college when their plane crashed and they all were instantly killed yesterday morning.
What to say and what to do is the question I received most this week. My answers: pray, believe, and mostly just be present for those in extreme pain.
I read an article of a mother of a medically fragile child who offered some dos and don’ts. Her list is credible and very insightful. Many of her suggestions can be applied in similarly difficult situations. As this mother wrote and I concur, “I hope this helps those who need TLC from you today”.
