As a Life Coach I am always looking for inspiration. I like what Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD says and writes about Mindfulness; Practicing mindfulness must be on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmental. Mindfulness is being fully aware.
I believe this as well. Knowing that you are in control of your thoughts and your thoughts are not in control of you is one of the first steps in practicing mindfulness.
In my life coaching sessions I teach my clients how to Re-set their Mindset. Whatever your self-limiting belief or negative internal dialog is, it absolutely does not have to be there. You can decide not to have those thoughts and with practice don’t ever have to have them again.
Those self-limiting and negative thoughts are a total waste of time and a complete waste of your energy! I have been successful in teaching these practices and techniques with my clients and I have witnessed it make a huge impact in their lives.
Think of what is good, right, and count your blessings in brief moments and keep doing it. This is how you practice it. As you practice, it will get easier and you will be able to access positive thinking much more often and with ease. I know for sure this will bring you more peace in your day!
We’re only alive in this moment. We’re not alive in the past, that’s a memory. And we’re not alive in the future, that hasn’t happened yet. Be mindful of now!
